    Wick 'Inbhir Uige' in Gaelic is an estuary town in Caithness, in the Highland area of Scotland, on the main highway the A99A9 road linking John o' Groats with southern Britain. Until 1975 the town was a royal burgh and the county town of Caithness. The population of the town is about 9,000. The former burgh's boundaries have included Pulteneytown since 1902
