Milnathort is a village in the Perth and Kinross region of Scotland. It is situated at the foot of the Ochil Hills, near the northern shore of the infamous Loch Leven where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned in 1567 until she escaped a year later. It was a market town associated with nearby Burleigh Castle, stronghold of the Balfours of Burleigh.
