    Mid Calder is a conservation village in West Lothian, Scotland. To residents, 'the village' refers to its oldest part, perched on a steep hill overlooking the River Almond and Calder Wood. The town has been on major crossroads since its origin sometime in the eleventh century. It lies fifteen miles west of Edinburgh.
