N55:52:59(55.882967), W3:06:49(-3.113527) Lasswade is a parish and village in Midlothian, Scotland, on the River North Esk nine miles 14.5 kilometres south of Edinburgh city centre between Dalkeith and Loanhead. Melville Castle lies to the north east. The parish church was built in the 13th century though little of it today survives.
