    Ellon Gaelic 'Ealain' is a town of about 9540 2004 people in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, approximately 16 miles north of Aberdeen. Ellon is essentially a dormitory town for Aberdeen and is linked to the City of Aberdeen by the A90 road. It lies on the Ythan river pronounced 'eyethan', which has one of few undeveloped river estuaries on the eastern coast of Scotland.
